14. Environmental Policy

DAKS Limited is committed to minimising the impact of its actions on the environment and to continuous monitoring and improvements to its environmental policy and standards.

It is committed to complying with all relevant environmental legislation and codes of practice, to regularly reviewing and setting targets to meet and promote environmental awareness throughout the Company and of its suppliers.

To ensure that future planning is given careful deliberation and that its effects on environmental issues within current legislative requirements to achieve best practice and efficiency within the Company are made the following Company structures and objectives are in place:

  • Following extensive internal reorganisation of the Group management since 2008, an Environmental and Health & Safety Working Group has been set up to meet twice a year to report to the board of directors of DAKS Limited on environmental and health & safety issues.
  • DAKS Limited has appointed personnel from each department who are responsible for reporting environmental and health & safety issues to the group.
  • To improve the environmental performance of the Company to comply with law and regulations and codes of best practice on environmental issues.
  • To increase awareness of environmental issues, responsibilities and roles within the management system.
  • Encourage environmental schemes and reviews and their implementation to meet objectives.
