A natural fibre that is not only renewable but also biodegradable. Wool has become one of the most effective natural forms of all-weather protection, able to absorb and release humidity, either in the atmosphere or perspiration from the wearer, acclimatising to individual environments. A wool fibre can be bent 20,000 times without breaking and has the power to elongate, stretch and recover – allowing wool products to last for years.
The Campaign for Wool was set up five years ago by ‘HRH The Prince of Wales’, to promote these benefits and wool-predominant products to the nation. Since its inception they have seen a reverse in the declining sheep population and demand for wool within products, and have become active in 19 countries across the world.
This week sees the return of The Campaign for Wool’s ‘UK Wool Week’ a week of wool related activities. Starting off the week with a Wool Ride over 300 cyclists gathered in Potters Field to complete a 13.4 mile cycle ride through central London passing historical sites and areas made famous by the wool industry.
To celebrate Wool Week we are offering you 10% off wool products in store until Sunday 12th October.
